I designed my magazine for TRC college, for distribution around the college. Therefore it would have no composition against other magazines. Also its set for a specific target audience, of students within TRC. I designed and created it using Photoshop. I used various tools in Photoshop to edit and put it together.
I designed the page to be simple and minimalist, large clear fonts to stand out and be easy to read. I added several sell lines, to grab the readers attention, and to make it stand out more. I also added a main mastline as the main title for the magazine, i did this using a faded bacground and a bold blue text, this will act as the main article in my magazine.
Overall i think I have created this draft magazine sucsessfully. I belive it both looks professional and attractive. I do bevelie making this magazine I have developed my skills in photshop, this will help me in the furture with further assesments.
Here is my contents page, that i have created for my college magazine. To design and create the page I used Quark Xpress, i used various tools within the program to edit and modify the layout of the images and text within the contents page. Choosing a lyout wasn't easy, i looked at a few magazines contents pages to get a idea of how they have been layed out and where the differnt objects have been placed. I used several pictures which I have taken to be the main sotries within the magazine, the main picture which i used was made bigger as this storey would be more important than the rest.
